Sprouting (2/4/2010)
Good video, but I'm left with the following questions unanswered:* Can you stagger the growth of sprouts in the same bag? In other words can you dip some seeds in it and on day 3 dip some more in the same bag while you are still waiting for the first sprouts to be ready? Or should you buy two or three bags so you can stagger some to always be fresh? Do you refrigerate the sprouts at maturity if you don't use them all up on that day? If so, is it better to keep them in the bag that they sprouted in, in the refrigerator? Do you need to give a bag a "rest" and sterilization between the next use? The answers to these questions determine how many bags to purchase, so I'd change either the video or the product information paragraph to reflect this information.

Can you stagger the growth of sprouts in the same bag? no, you must purchase additional bags. Do you refrigerate the sprouts at maturity if you don't use them all up on that day? yes, healthy, well cleaned sprouts, last from one to two weeks in the refrigerator. Is it better to keep them in the bag that they sprouted in, in the refrigerator. no, not really unless you are still trying to grow them. Put them in a plastic or glass container and wrap with clear plastic wrap or a lid. Do you need to give a bag a "rest" and sterilization between the next use? You can rinse the bag out and hang to dry inside out and it is ready for use again. If your bag has a lot of cloudy water or appears to be really dirty then place the bag for 3 minutes in a pot of boiled water. Never use soap, bleach, hydrogen peroxide or a brush as it weakens the natural fibers.
