Item Description

Feeling tired and run down? You're not alone. Vitamin B-12 is mostly found in animal products, but even meat-eaters may not be getting enough. The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition reported in 2000 that 39% of individuals tested had low-to-normal levels of B-12 in their blood. 17% had levels low enough to cause symptoms of deficiency.

Contains Methylcobalamin, the preferred form of vitamin B12. Methylcobalamin is active in the body immediately upon absorption while the cyanocobalamin form must be converted to an active form prior to utilization. Numerous studies suggest that vitamin B12, vitabin B6 and Folic Acid play an important role in optimizing homocysteine levels in the body.

  • Chewable sublingual tablet
  • Vital supplement for vegans and vegetarians
  • A Hallelujah Diet Complement
  • Vitamin B12 combined with Vitmin B6 and Folic Acid for maximum benefits

What is B12 good for?

If you thought, because you're a vegetarian or vegan you're not getting enough Vitamin B-12 in your diet, you'd be right, since the vitamin is not found in plant foods. However, our meat-eating cousins are not faring much better, either. An article in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition that appeared in 2000 reveals that 39% of individuals tested had low-to-normal levels of B-12 in their blood, and 17% had levels low enough to cause symptoms of deficiency.

After the results of research conducted by Dr. Michael Donaldson of the Hallelujah Acres Foundation revealed low levels of B-12 in 47% of the 54 subjects, it became clear that it is wise for everyone to be aware of their need for B-12, regardless of their diet. And for those following a vegan or vegetarian diet, including The Hallelujah Diet, it is vital to use a B-12 supplement. But which one? After reviewing the best of the best, we knew we could go one better.

mannitol (6/29/2010)
Although I haven't tried it yet, your B12 sounds perfect and I desperately need it. However, I am leery of anything w/Mannitol in it...my research shows it's not healthy. Too bad it can't be sweetened w/agave or honey. Your thoughts would be appreciated as I'm still searching for the right B12. Most I find on line have Mannitol or other unhealthy sweeteners. Thanks!

I choose this B12 (8/9/2010)
I have used this product for over 1 year, and how thankful I am that it keeps me balanced in my mind and thinking. When stressful situations come, I double up on it and praise God that it is what it says it does! My hormonal balance is the best it has been most of my life. Thank you Hallelujah Acres for researching the BEST products for our bodies. God Bless.

DIARRHEA from mannitol and other sweetners (9/17/2011)
I am glad that I caught that it had mannitol because any of the sweetners that end in 'tol' gives me diarrhea.

appreciate the effort to help us (11/23/2011)
Some do better researching than others. If a better product comes along H.A. will probably provide it. I have a friend who is anemic and has been following a vegan diet. My wife & I are trying our best to do the same. So this is important.

Mannitol (1/10/2012)
HA does a wonderful job in researching their products so I was surprised to see the posts about Mannitol being used in the B12/B6.. I did some research on Mannitol and I am very surprised this is used in a HA product. I am hoping the HA is looking for alternative sweetners for this. Until then, I do not feel comfortable ordering this product. Blessings

mannitol (1/26/2012)
I was all ready to purchase this for my husband but after reading the reviews on mannitol, I think I will pass. Hope you find something to replace it and be sure to announce it so those of us waiting will know it's ok to purchase

mannitol (3/13/2012)
I am very disappointed as I thought I finally found a chewable Methylocobalamin source of B12, but I too researched mannitol and it scared me away from ordering this product. Too bad they can't just leave it out!

B12 (3/13/2012)
Great arguments in your new B12 article! But, given the fact that sugar knocks out that flora to produce B12, why on God's blessed earth, do you put sugar (fructose) in this supplement (maybe other supps.)? along with "fruit flavors", starches, etc. My multi-B supp. doesn't have these sugars. Added fructose isn't the same as the sugars in whole fruit. Add stevia, raw honey, manitose, or xylitol instead to sweeten supps.

Better product out there (3/13/2012)
Appears to have adequate amounts of each Vitamin, provided. Under the tongue administration is optimum. However, the fructose, mannitol, stearic acid, magnesium stearate and possibly other ingredients are no no's. Try Superior Source sublingual that has no less toxic additives, is sweetened with stevia, and has the addition of Selenium

Take out the bad stuff (3/14/2012)
What a surprise to read about all the bad stuff in the B12 - I was ready to order it. I am glad I read the reviews.

HALLELUJAH ACRES on Mannitol (3/16/2012)
It would be great if supplements could be made available in a whole food form the way BarleyMax is – Nothing added – Just the pure dried juice of the grass but unfortunately that is not the case. The active ingredients in most supplements make up a very small part of the supplement whether it is a liquid, capsule or tablet. Most of the ingredients are required for the processing of the supplement. At Hallelujah Acres our goal is to use the best possible ingredients in each of our products so our customers can rest assured that they not only are safe and the best available for the role they play in the supplement. The manufacturing of tablets requires the use of ingredients that: hold the tablet together, allow the tablet to dissolve appropriately so the nutrients can be absorbed, allow for the equipment to run smoothly, etc. The Hallelujah Acres B12/B6/Folic Acid supplement (total weight 430 mg) contains a natural sugar – Manitol which is found in abundance in nature as it oozes from trees, algae, and fresh mushrooms. It has been used safely around the world for over 60 years in foods, supplements and pharmaceuticals. It is excellent for use in tablets as it does not readily absorb moisture helping contribute ‘safely’ to the stability of the tablet and is pleasant to taste. Unlike many other sweeteners, it is poorly absorbed and does not impact insulin production.

Try Brand Superior Source (3/17/2012)
I love HA products, but the Superior Source brand has the same levels of B6, B12 and Folic Acid with Stevia and none of the other harmful ingredients. I am surprised, too that HA would put a subprime product with magnesium stearate or fructose! I know HA is always looking to improve.

Re: Superior Source (6/29/2012)
I read the previous comments and I too am surprised that HA would use questionable ingredients. I'm trying my best to avoid sugar under my current diet. However I did look up both of these types of sugar and they both come from plants just as stevia does so I'm not sure what the problem is. I compared HA supplement with thatn of Superior Source and I found that Superior Source provides on a fraction of the B6 that HA does (2 mg vs 25mg) and contains milk. So anyone following a vegan diet should be aware of this.

about B12 impurity (2/7/2013)
I am no longer HA customer, but saw this product spotlight in HA promotional email I received. So I was curious to compare it with B12 products I am taking. Curious why it receives a low rating, I read all the comment. My holistic doctor use B12 supplement to all his patients and recommend a specific brand. Recently, he makes and markets his own B12/Folic Acid. When he gave me the first few samples, they were in different shapes and easily crumbled. He later perfected the shape by using other stuff. SO it is true for the HA's comment above that to make the B12 supplements conveniently neat for us those undesirable items must be used. One will never find pure B12 in nicely shape pill that is easily dissolved under the tongue. Consider the other options - B12 that comes with beef, other meats or eggs. Or consider why we need B12 supplement in the first place if we eat biblical diet (Gen 1:29) - it is because our main meal is not perfect and need supplements. SO we should not expect perfect supplement. Just get the one with the least impurity. Lastly, God does not expect us to live based on Gen 1:29. Look at God's people and servants who eat meat (with no blood) after Noah. Look what God gave Elijah for food (1 King 17:6). I do not eat meat but salmon occasionally - not because of Gen 1:29, but because of my healthy choice. God wants our loyalty to Him more than us doing Gen 1:29 diet. Read Acts 10:12-15. May God bless all of us with good health
